Treasure the people around you. Simple, to the point, cliched. But, do you do that? I try my best. Maybe that's what everyone says. But really, sometimes you wouldn't know what you lost until you have lost it. We form relationships with people all the time. Some people stay for as long as he/she/you live, some people leave after a while. For those who left after a while, you may just convince yourself that maybe he/she is really not so important in your life, so there's no point moping around or trying to give that relationship a little pull. But maybe not, and by the time you realised, it might have already been too late.
